The 8th Annual
Israel Experience Special Update!
Jewish and Christian leaders hear from Israel Experience College Scholarship Graduates

Israel Experience College Scholarship Graduates Jeroll Rogers, Josée Chiasson, Ryan Mauro, Elizabeth Wong, Brittany Moore, Lee Perkins, Havilah Mendez, Veronica Jenks, Nick Gibson, Michael Onifer, and Aaron Derstine gathered from across the U.S. in Beverly Hills at the Jerusalem Banquet to share the story of their Israel Experience (IE). The testimony of the impact of the IE on their lives brought the Jewish and Christian leaders present to their feet with several standing ovations. Click here for a brief video about what some of these graduates have done since their time on the Israel Experience.

Lee Perkins (IE 2010), now an ordained minister for the Church of God in Christ, from Nashville Tennessee stated, “I wish that I could say that to be Christian is to be pro-Israel and to be concerned about the Jewish people… somehow I had almost missed what the Bible had to say about Israel.” Since the Israel Experience, Lee has been involved in pro-Israel activities on his campus at Vanderbilt University.

Josée Chiasson (IE 2010) from York University shared with the audience that the Israel Experience gave her the confidence to lobby the York administration and to mobilize students. She stated that “this year the atmosphere at York University has gone from one of student riots and incidences of blatant anti-Semitism during Israel Apartheid Week, to one of tame and respectful dialogue in which the pro-Israel voice is by far the strongest and the loudest.

Ryan Mauro joins Wafa Sultan, Jamie Glazov, and Raymond Ibrahim on Expert Middle East Panel

Israel Experience College Scholarship graduate and intelligence expert Ryan Mauro (IE 2009) presented on a Middle East panel in Los Angeles on Friday morning, May 20, as part of the Jerusalem Banquet events. The panel included Syrian born expert on Islam Wafa Sultan; Soviet born Jamie Glazov, editor of FrontPage Magazine; and Middle East Forum co-director, Egyptian Copt, Raymond Ibrahim.

The panel was asked to discuss two subjects: the rise of Sharia, and the persecution of Christians in the Middle East. Approximately seventy leaders, both Jewish and Christian, attended this excellent forum hosted at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. Dr. Robert Stearns, Ambassador Jacob Dayan, and Rabbi Dr. Gerald Meister also presented on Israel and Jewish Christian relations and Jewish Federation Executive Vice President Andrew Cushnir brought greetings.
